In addition to the elderly group, people over 12 years of age with immunosuppression, indigenous people, residents of long-stay institutions and employees of these institutions may also be immunized. According to City Hall of São Paulo, people from the priority groups who completed the basic scheme or who have already received one or two booster doses will be vaccinated, respecting the four-month interval of the most recent dose received. The vaccine also protects against subvariants of the strain Ômicron of the virus. This Thursday, the 23rd, the municipality received 542,652 doses of the vaccine for this phase of the national immunization campaign. Vaccination against Covid-19 takes place in Basic Health Units (UBSs) and in Ambulatory Medical Assistance (AMAs)/Integrated UBSs, from Monday to Friday, from 7 am to 7 pm, and on Saturdays, in the AMAs/Integrated UBSs, at the same time. If there are remaining doses of the bivalent vaccine close to the end of daily activities in the health units, elderly people over 60 years old will be able to take the immunizer. However, they must be residents of the UBS region. To pre-register, proof of address is required.
