Covid, canceled Japanese F1 GP

The Japanese F1 GP has been canceled from the 2021 calendar. This was announced by Liberty Media in a note in which it emphasizes that the persistence of the Covid-19 pandemic has forced the Japanese government to cancel the event scheduled for 10 October.

The Japanese one is the third GP of the season to jump due to Covid after Singapore and Australia. F1, according to the press release, is already working to replace the canceled appointments with new Grands Prix. Details will be provided in the coming weeks.
