There are 6,040 new coronavirus infections in Great Britain according to the bulletin released today, 6 March. Since yesterday, another 158 deaths have been recorded. The latest figures from the health authorities confirm the decline in new cases and deaths as vaccination proceeds. Since the start of the pandemic, there have been 4,213,343 infections and 124,419 deaths in the UK within 28 days of a positive Covid test.
At present 21,796,278 people have received a first dose of the vaccine and 1,090,840 also the second. London has chosen to postpone the recall in order to vaccinate as many people as possible.
