In the past 24 hours, Germany has recorded 12,196 new coronavirus cases and 68 deaths. The data released by the Robert Koch Institute (Rki) show a decrease compared to the previous Sunday (27,176 infections and 90 deaths) but could be affected by the slowdown in registrations during the Easter holidays.

There is a slight decrease in the incidence over seven days, which now stands at 127 cases per 100 thousand inhabitants. Since the beginning of the pandemic there have been 2,885,386 infections and 76,963 deaths.
