In the last 24 hours, 1,217,830 swabs were processed, including molecular and antigenic, with a positivity index of 14.8%. There are 18,370 hospitalized with symptoms, 351 more since yesterday. Intensive care units employed, equal to 1,677 in Italy, fell by two units. Since yesterday 120,609 people have healed.
There have been 140,856 victims since the start of the pandemic.
COVID NUMBERS REGION BY REGION, THE BULLETIN
LOMBARDY – There are 33,249 new infections from Coronavirus today, January 15, 2022 in Lombardy, according to Covid-19 data in the latest bulletin of the Region. There have been 77 deaths since yesterday, bringing the total death toll since the beginning of the pandemic to 35,854. In the last 24 hours, 229,741 swabs were processed, including molecular and antigenic, with a positivity rate of 14.47%. There are 258 people in intensive care, 4 fewer from yesterday, while there are 3,503 inmates not in intensive care, 34 more than yesterday. The new positives by province: Milan 10,362, Bergamo 3,255; Brescia 4,328; Como 1.943; Cremona 1,103; Lecco 879; Lauds 705; Mantua 1,408; Monza and Brianza 2,830; Pavia 1,722; Sondrio 1,046; Varese 2,599.
SICILY – There are 9,292 new infections from Coronavirus today, January 15, 2022 in Sicily, according to Covid-19 data in the latest bulletin of the Region. Since yesterday, 66 deaths have been recorded, but only 11 are from the last 48 hours, while the others refer to the previous days. In the last 24 hours, 45,331 swabs were processed. On the island, the current positives thus rise to 166,341. Since yesterday the healed have been 2,478. Since the beginning of the pandemic, the victims have been 7,878.
Of the current positives, 1,331 patients are hospitalized with symptoms, while 157 patients are in intensive care. This is the breakdown of the new cases on a provincial basis: 2,100 in Palermo, 2,367 in Catania, 725 in Messina, 832 in Ragusa, 482 in Trapani, 1,031 in Syracuse, 623 in Caltanissetta, 962 in Agrigento and 170 in Enna.
CAMPANIA – There are 19,788 coronavirus infections in Campania today, January 15, 2022, according to numbers and covid data from the region’s bulletin. The new cases were identified on 107,168 swabs, of which 64,474 are antigenic and 42,694 are molecular. Recorded 9 more deaths. Covid patients admitted to hospital in a non-critical area are 1,246. In intensive care, however, 88 people.
ABRUZZO – There are 3,835 coronavirus infections in Abruzzo today, January 15, 2022, according to numbers and covid data from the region’s bulletin. There are 2 deaths. The new positives (2,094 of which emerged from antigen tests), aged between 2 months and 99 years, were identified on 9,540 molecular swabs and 23,233 antigen tests.
The other numbers: 976 newly recovered, 65,753 currently positive (+2,646), 375 hospitalized in the medical area (+25), 38 in intensive care (-3), 65,340 in home isolation (+2804). The new positives are resident in the provinces of L’Aquila (714), Chieti (997), time.news (800), Teramo (1168), outside the region (70), under investigation (55).
EMILIA ROMAGNA – There are 17,775 coronavirus infections in Emilia Romagna today, January 15, 2022, according to numbers and covid data from the region’s bulletin. There are another 27 deaths. New cases were identified on 78,112 swabs performed in the last 24 hours. The percentage of new positives on the number of tampons made is therefore 22.7%.
The patients currently hospitalized in the intensive care units in Emilia-Romagna are 152 (+4 compared to yesterday); the average age is 62. Of the total, 97 are not vaccinated (zero doses of vaccine received, average age 60.9 years), 63.8%, while 55 are vaccinated with a full cycle (average age 64.1 years). A figure that must be related to the fact that people over 12 vaccinated with a full cycle in Emilia-Romagna exceed 3.6 million, about 300 thousand vaccinated people who have not yet vaccinated: the percentage of unvaccinated people admitted to intensive care is therefore much more high compared to those who have been vaccinated. As for the patients admitted to the other Covid departments, there are 2,334 (+22 compared to yesterday), average age 68.9 years.
Compared to the 20,346 new cases registered yesterday, the infections today register a -12.7%. The number of people admitted to Covid wards increased by 1%, those in intensive care units increased by 2.7%. The median age of new positives today is 36.9 years.
As for the total number of people healed, they are 3,699 more than yesterday and reach 483,692. The active cases, that is the actual patients, are today 290,816 (+14,029).
FRIULI VENEZIA GIULIA – There are 4,570 coronavirus infections in Friuli Venezia Giulia today, January 15, 2022, according to numbers and covid data from the region’s bulletin. Recorded 12 more deaths. In detail, 1,533 new infections were detected on 11,912 molecular swabs, with a positive percentage of 12.87%. In addition, 19,025 rapid antigenic tests have been carried out, from which 3,037 cases were detected (15.96%). The number of people hospitalized in intensive care is down to 40 – 36 of whom are not vaccinated – and patients hospitalized in other departments to 368, as announced by the deputy governor of the Region with responsibility for health, Riccardo Riccardi.
As regards the trend of the spread of the virus among the population, the age group most affected is that from 0 to 19 years (22.06%) followed by 50-59 years (17.88%), 40 to 49 years (16.96%), 30-39 years (13.46%) and 20-29 (13.31%).
PIEDMONT – There are 14,350 coronavirus infections in Piedmont today, January 15, 2022, according to numbers and covid data from the region’s bulletin. Recorded another 22 deaths. The new cases (of which 12,594 after antigenic tests) are equal to 13.5% of 106,488 swabs performed, of which 93,324 antigenic. Of the 14,350 infected, the asymptomatic are 10,410 (72.5%).
There are 146 hospitalized in intensive care (-1 compared to yesterday). Non-intensive care patients are 1,938 (+ 8 compared to yesterday). There are 162,889 people in home isolation.
Today, 22, 8 deaths of people positive for the Covid-19 test reported by the Crisis Unit of the Piedmont Region (please note that the cumulative updated data communicated daily also includes deaths that occurred in the previous days and only subsequently ascertained as Covid deaths).
The recovered patients become a total of 511,838 (+ 12,206 compared to yesterday).
BASILICATA – There are 611 new coronavirus infections today 15 January 2022 in Basilicata, according to data and numbers from the latest Covid-19 bulletin of the Region. There are another 3 deaths. The deceased people resided in Lavello (a man and a woman) and in Matera. 274 healings were recorded. The hospitalized for Covid-19 are 89 (+4) of which 2 in intensive care: 47 (of which 2 in TI) in the Potenza hospital; 42 in that of Matera. Overall, the current positives residing in Basilicata are about 13,400.
For the vaccination, 6,028 administrations were made yesterday. So far 453,176 Lucanians have received the first dose of the vaccine (81.9 per cent of the population which amounts to 553,254 residents), 417,419 have received the second (75.4 per cent) and 227,858 are the third doses (41.2 per cent). , for a total of 1,098,453 administrations carried out.
PUGLIA – There are 9,718 new infections from Coronavirus in Puglia today, January 15, 2022, according to Covid data and numbers in the latest bulletin of the Region. There are also 12 other deaths. In the last 24 hours, 76,689 swabs, both molecular and antigenic, were processed. There are 559 hospitalized in the Covid wards, while the intensive care units employed are 55. In the Region the positives are 103,590 at the moment. Among the provinces with the highest number of new infections Bari at 3,161, Foggia at 1,396, Lecce at 1,701 and Taranto 1,292.
VENETO – There are 19,539 new infections from Coronavirus today, January 15, 2022 in Veneto, according to the covid-19 data of the latest bulletin of the Region. There have been 15 deaths since yesterday. The currently positive cases therefore rise to 249,145.
CALABRIA – According to the Covid-19 emergency bulletin released by the Health Protection Department of the Calabria Region, 2,723 new infections are registered (out of 13,413 swabs carried out), +1,183 recovered and 8 deaths (for a total of 1,716 deaths). The bulletin also records +1,532 currently positive, +3 hospitalizations (for a total of 418) and, finally, +4 intensive care (for a total of 35).
LAZIO – There are 12,096 new infections from Coronavirus today 15 January 2022 in Lazio, according to the covid-19 data of the latest bulletin of the Region. There have been 15 deaths since yesterday. In Rome, there were 6,200 new cases in the last 24 hours. Since yesterday, 24,575 molecular swabs and 79,124 antigenic swabs have been processed with a positivity rate of 11.6%. The number of hospitalized people was 1,374, 59 more since yesterday, the figure for intensive care employment stable at 204.
TUSCANY – There are 11,761 new coronavirus infections today 15 January 2022 in Tuscany, according to data and numbers from the latest Covid-19 bulletin of the Region. There are another 19 deaths. The new Covid cases (4,866 confirmed with molecular swab and 6,895 by rapid antigen test) bring the total to 571,128 since the beginning of the coronavirus health emergency. New cases are 2.1% more than the previous day’s total. The healed grew by 5.1% and reached 384,309 (67.3% of total cases).
Today, 22,324 molecular swabs and 53,634 rapid antigenic swabs were performed, of which 15.5% tested positive. On the other hand, 17,355 subjects were tested today (with antigenic and / or molecular swab, excluding control swabs), of which 67.8% were positive. The current positives are today 179.001, -3.7% compared to yesterday. The hospitalized are 1,349 (34 more than yesterday), of which 123 in intensive care (3 less). Today there are 19 new deaths: 13 men and 6 women with an average age of 84.1 years. These are the data – ascertained at 12 noon today on the basis of the requests of the National Civil Protection – relating to the progress of the epidemic in the Region.
VALLE D’AOSTA – There are 440 new infections from Coronavirus today, January 15, 2022 in Valle d’Aosta, according to Covid-19 data in the latest bulletin of the Region. There has been a death since yesterday. In the last 24 hours, 505 were healed and 1,555 swabs were processed.
