I’m 25,389 new Coronavirus infections in Italy today, 24 August 2022according to Covid data and numbers – region by region – of the Civil Protection bulletin and the Ministry of Health. There are also another 112 deaths. Were 174,227 processed swabs, including molecular and antigenic, which show a positive rate of 14.6% (yesterday 17%). People hospitalized with symptoms decreased (-208 for a total of 6,170) and those in intensive care (-15 for a total of 239).

LOMBARDY – In Lombardy, out of 24,309 swabs carried out, 3,322 new positive cases were registered in the last 24 hours, with a positivity rate of 13.6%. This was revealed by the bulletin issued by the Lombardy Region. Among the main figures of today, we note the further decrease in hospitalizations in ordinary wards, which amounted to 753 compared to 780 yesterday, down by 27 units. On the other hand, intensive care admissions increased, resulting in 22, two more than yesterday, as well as deaths (+11), bringing the overall total to 42,134 since the beginning of the pandemic. At the provincial level, Milan registers 892 new cases, of which 328 in the city of Milan; Bergamo has 358, Brescia 491, Como 198, Cremona 107. 102 have been registered in Lecco, 80 in Lodi, 229 in Mantua, 255 in Monza and Brianza, 197 in Pavia, 54 in Sondrio and 280 in Varese.
LAZIO – There are 1,824 new infections from Coronavirus today, 24 August 2022 in Lazio, according to Covid-19 data in the latest bulletin of the Region. There are another 3 deaths. The hospitalized are 655 (-25), 39 intensive care (+1) and 7,673 recovered. The ratio of positives to swabs is 13.4%. In detail, these are the numbers of the last 24 hours. Asl Roma 1: there are 258 new cases and 1 death. Asl Roma 2: there are 308 new cases and 1 death. Asl Roma 3: there are 232 new cases and 0 deaths. Asl Roma 4: 119 new cases and 0 deaths. Asl Roma 5: there are 137 new cases and 1 death. Asl Roma 6: 151 new cases and 0 deaths. In the provinces there are 619 new cases. Asl di Frosinone: there are 235 new cases and 0 deaths. Asl di Latina: 205 new cases and 0 deaths. Asl di Rieti: there are 73 new cases and 0 deaths. Asl di Viterbo: there are 106 new cases and 0 deaths.
EMILIA ROMAGNA – Since the beginning of the Coronavirus epidemic, 1,810,641 cases of positivity have been recorded in Emilia-Romagna, 2,172 more than yesterday, out of a total 11,969 swabs performed in the last 24 hours, of which 6,189 molecular and 5,780 antigen tests quick. Overall, the percentage of new positives on the number of tampons made is 18.1%. Meanwhile, the anti-Covid vaccination campaign continues. At 12 noon a total of 10,786,900 doses were administered; out of the total 3,798,265 people over 12 who have completed the vaccination cycle, 94.5%. The additional doses made are 2,951,140. Patients currently hospitalized in the intensive care units in Emilia-Romagna are 31 (-1 compared to yesterday, -3.1%), the average age is 62.5 years. As for the patients hospitalized in the other Covid departments, there are 1,142 (-28 compared to yesterday, -2.4%), average age 74.8 years. On the territory, the patients admitted to intensive care are distributed as follows: 1 in Piacenza (unchanged compared to yesterday); 1 in Parma (unchanged); 2 in Reggio Emilia (unchanged); 6 in Modena (+1); 9 in Bologna (-1); 1 in Imola (-2); 6 in Ferrara (unchanged); 1 in Ravenna (unchanged); 2 in Forlì (+1); 1 in Cesena (unchanged); 1 in Rimini (unchanged). The average age of new positives today is 47.9 years.
SICILY – There are a total of 1,732, out of 11,835 swabs processed, the new cases of Covid-19 registered in Sicily. The current positives on the island are 83,644 (4,034 less than yesterday). The data is contained in the daily bulletin of the Ministry of Health, from which it emerges that in a single day the healed were 5,762, while of the 4 deaths reported today (12,019 since the beginning of the pandemic emergency) all refer to the past few days. Of the current positives, 527 patients are hospitalized with symptoms, while 30 patients are in intensive care.
This is the division of the new cases on a provincial basis: 370 in Palermo, 334 in Catania, 270 in Messina, 135 in Ragusa, 116 in Trapani, 170 in Syracuse, 101 in Caltanissetta, 166 in Agrigento and 70 in Enna.
TUSCANY – There are 1,064 coronavirus infections in Tuscany today, 24 August 2022, according to numbers and covid data from the region’s bulletin. Recorded 6 deaths. New cases are 0.1% more than the previous day’s total. The healed grew by 0.1% and reached 1,276,904 (93.2% of total cases). Today 1,034 molecular swabs and 7,735 rapid antigenic swabs were performed, of which 12.1% were positive. On the other hand, 1,692 subjects tested today (with antigenic and / or molecular swab, excluding control swabs), of which 62.9% were positive. The currently positive are 82,598 today, -0.4% compared to yesterday. There are 339 hospitalized (13 fewer than yesterday), of which 15 in intensive care (4 fewer).
SARDINIA – ” In Sardinia today there are 601 further confirmed cases of Covid positivity (of which 526 diagnosed as antigenic). A total of 3026 swabs were processed, including molecular and antigenic. The patients admitted to the intensive care units are 11 (+1). The patients admitted to the medical area are 115 (-6). 13788 are the cases of home isolation (-764). There are 6 deaths: three women aged 66, 67 and 88, three men aged 85, 87 and 92, residing in the province of Sassari ”. The Sardinia Region communicates it.
ABRUZZO – There are 955 new covid infections in Abruzzo according to today’s bulletin, 24 August. There are also another 4 deaths. The total number of cases since the beginning of the emergency – net of realignments – is 533,971. The death toll rises to 3,619. The number of positive cases also includes 505,029 discharged / healed (+962 compared to yesterday). The currently positive in Abruzzo are 25,323 (-11 compared to yesterday). Of these, 177 patients (+1 compared to yesterday) are hospitalized in the medical area; 9 (+1 compared to yesterday) in intensive care, while the rest are in home isolation. This was communicated by the Regional Health Department.
BASILICATA – In Basilicata there are 337 new cases of Sars Cov-2, out of a total of 1,158 swabs performed, and there is no death from Covid-19. These are the data from the bulletin of the regional task force referring to the last 24 hours. In the same report, 366 healings were recorded. The hospitalized for Covid-19 are 38 (-1) of which 0 (-1) in intensive care: 16 in the Potenza hospital; 22 in that of Matera. Overall, the current positives residing in Basilicata are 7,723.
