I’m 74,350 new Coronavirus infections in Italy today, April 1, 2022, according to Covid data and numbers – region by region – of the Civil Protection bulletin and the Ministry of Health. There are also others 154 dead.
In the last 24 hours, 514,823 swabs were processed with a positive rate of 14.4%. 9,981 people were hospitalized with symptoms, 83 more since yesterday, while the intensive care units employed are 476, 8 more since yesterday.
There are 159,537 victims and 14,719,394 people who have contracted the virus since the beginning of the pandemic. The healed amount to 13,288,370, 82,443 since yesterday, while the currently positive are 1,271,487 in our country.
DATA FROM THE REGION
LOMBARDY – There are 9,053 coronavirus infections in Lombardy today, 1 April 2022, according to numbers and covid data from the region’s bulletin. Recorded 7 more deaths. New cases were identified on 71,522 swabs performed, of which 12.6% were positive. The total number of deaths since the beginning of the pandemic rises to 39,268.
In the ordinary Covid wards, the number of hospitalized patients increases by 30, today 1,070. In intensive care there are 42 patients, one more than 24 hours ago.
CAMPANIA – There are 7,903 new infections from Coronavirus today, 1 April 2022 in Campania, according to Covid-19 data in the latest bulletin of the Region. Since yesterday, 19 deaths have been recorded, 14 of the last 48 hours and 5 previously, but recorded yesterday. In the last 24 hours, 43,497 swabs, including molecular and antigenic, were processed. In Campania, 34 intensive care units are employed and 733 patients hospitalized in hospital wards.
VENETO – There are 7,333 new covid infections in Veneto according to today’s bulletin, 1 April. There are also another 6 deaths. The total number of cases since the beginning of the pandemic rises to 1,498,035, while the currently positive ones are 81,641.
The total number of deaths since the beginning of the pandemic is 14,164. In the Venetian hospitals 576 people are hospitalized in the medical area (yesterday they were 559) and 36 in intensive care (yesterday they were 35). In community hospitals there are 119 positive patients (yesterday they were 121). 3,378 doses of the vaccine were administered yesterday.
LAZIO – There are 8,460 infections registered in Lazio today, 1 April, according to the bulletin with Covid data from the Region. The cases in Rome city are at 4,273.
Specifically: “Today in Lazio, out of 11,321 molecular swabs and 44,220 antigenic swabs for a total of 55,541 swabs, there are 8,460 new positive cases (-796). There are 9 deaths (-6), 1,202 hospitalized (+9) , 77 people in intensive care and +5,867 cured. The ratio between positives and swabs is 15.2% “, says the councilor for health of the Lazio Region, Alessio D’Amato.
EMILIA ROMAGNA – There are 4,941 new infections registered today, 1 April, in Emilia Romagna, out of a total of 32,128 swabs performed in the last 24 hours, of which 16,785 are molecular and 15,343 rapid antigen tests. Overall, the percentage of new positives on the number of tampons made is 15.4%. This was reported by the bulletin with the Covid data of the Region. There are 17 deaths.
The patients currently hospitalized in the intensive care units in Emilia-Romagna are 36 (1 more than yesterday, + 2.9%), the average age is 67.9 years. As for the patients hospitalized in the other Covid departments, there are 1,139 (+5 compared to yesterday, + 0.4%), average age 75.1 years.
SARDINIA – There are 2,008 new infections registered today, 1 April, in Sardinia in the Region’s Covid bulletin. According to the updates, there are also four other victims: a 102-year-old man and a 92-year-old from Cagliari, a 90-year-old woman from Southern Sardinia and a 77-year-old from Oristano
The new infections were confirmed by 354 molecular swabs and 1,654 antigenic ones, out of a total of 13,198 tests processed. With a new entrance, the number of patients admitted to intensive care rises to 22 while 333 beds remain occupied in the medical departments. The number of people forced by home isolation rises to 30,336 (+27).
ABRUZZO – There are 2,301 (aged between 4 months and 100 years) coronavirus infections in Abruzzo today, 1 April 2022, according to numbers and covid data from the region’s bulletin. Recorded 5 more deaths. The total of positives since the beginning of the emergency reaches 317,091. Of today’s infections, 1,669 have been identified through rapid antigen testing. The death toll of patients recorded 5 new cases (aged between 60 and 90 years, 1 in the province of Chieti and 2 in the province of L’Aquila, while 2 cases date back to the past few days and were communicated only today by the ASL) and salt to 3,095 as communicated by the Regional Health Department. Another 1,258 healed reported.
The currently positives in Abruzzo are 41,381 (+1,035 compared to yesterday). 295 patients (+1 compared to yesterday) are hospitalized in the medical area; 16 (unchanged compared to yesterday) in intensive care, while the other 41,070 (+1,034 compared to yesterday) are in home isolation with active surveillance by the ASL. In the last 24 hours, 3,918 molecular swabs and 11,806 antigen tests were performed. The positivity rate, calculated on the sum of molecular swabs and antigen tests of the day, is equal to 14.65%.
FRIULI VENEZIA GIULIA – There are 1,417 new covid infections in Friuli Venezia Giulia according to today’s bulletin, 1 April. There is also another death. On 4,594 molecular swabs 330 new infections were detected, with a positivity rate of 7.18%. Furthermore, 9,097 antigenic rapid tests have been carried out, from which 1,087 cases were detected (11.95%). 6 people are hospitalized in intensive care, while 142 patients are hospitalized in other departments. This was announced by the deputy governor of the Region with responsibility for Health Riccardo Riccardi.
VALLE D’AOSTA – No deaths and 67 new coronavirus infections today, 1 April, in Valle d’Aosta according to the bulletin with Covid data from the Region. The total number of people infected by the virus from the beginning of the epidemic to today in the region therefore rises to 32,690. The current positives are 1212 of which 1191 in home isolation and 21 hospitalized. The healed are 30,952 today, an increase of 68 units compared to yesterday. Overall cases tested are 131,045 while the swabs carried out to date are 489,580. The deaths of people who tested positive for Covid from the beginning of the emergency to today in Valle d’Aosta are 525.
CALABRIA – There are 3,477 new infections from Coronavirus today, 1 April 2022 in Calabria, according to Covid-19 data in the latest bulletin of the Region. There have been 6 deaths since yesterday. In the last 24 hours, 15,201 swabs were processed, including molecular and antigenic. Since yesterday 1,990 people have healed. Hospitalizations decreased by 6 units for a total of 362, while there is an additional intensive care unit employed for a total of 20.
BASILICATA – In Basilicata there are 1,078 new coronavirus infections registered today, 1 April 2022, out of a total of 4,549 swabs (molecular and antigenic), and there is 1 death from Covid-19. These are the data from the regional bulletin of the coronavirus task force referring to the last 24 hours. The deceased person resided in Castronuovo Sant’Andrea. 622 healings were recorded. There are 109 hospitalized for Covid-19, of which 3 (-1) in intensive care: 57 (of which 1 in intensive care) in the Potenza hospital; 52 (of which 2 in intensive care) in that of Matera.
Overall, the current positives residing in Basilicata are approximately 25,600. For the vaccination, 263 administrations were made yesterday. So far 467,898 Lucanians have received the first dose of the vaccine (84.6 percent of the population which amounts to 553,254 residents), 441,099 have received the second (79.7 percent) and 351,903 are the third doses (63.6 percent) , for a total of 1,261,147 administrations carried out.
PUGLIA – There are 6,872 coronavirus infections in Puglia today, 1 April 2022, according to numbers and covid data from the region’s bulletin. Recorded 9 more deaths. New cases were identified on 34,592 swabs. New cases by province – Province of Bari: 2,233; Bat Province: 499; Province of Brindisi: 723; Province of Foggia: 914; Province of Lecce: 1,595; Province of Taranto: 849; Residents outside the region: 44; Province under definition: 15.
There are 679 covid patients admitted to hospital in a non-critical area. In intensive care, however, 38 people. Currently positive people are 118,860. In total, the deaths from covid in Puglia since the beginning of the emergency are 7,974.
TUSCANY – There are 4,793 coronavirus infections in Tuscany today, 1 April 2022, according to numbers and covid data from the region’s bulletin. There are also another 21 deaths. 1,556 confirmed with molecular swab and 3,237 by rapid antigen test, which bring the total to 989,177 since the beginning of the Coronavirus health emergency. New cases are 0.5% more than the previous day’s total. The healed grow by 0.5% and reach 930,707 (94.1% of total cases).
Today 7,695 molecular swabs and 23,969 rapid antigenic swabs were performed, of which 15.1% tested positive. On the other hand, 7,730 subjects tested today (with antigenic and / or molecular swab, excluding control swabs), of which 62% were positive. The currently positive are 48,953 today, + 0.4% compared to yesterday. The hospitalized are 899 (1 less than yesterday), of which 28 in intensive care (8 less). Today there are 21 new deaths: 8 men and 13 women with an average age of 84.7 years.
SICILY – There are 4,749 new infections from Coronavirus today, 1 April 2022 in Sicily, according to Covid-19 data from the latest island bulletin. However, the Region makes it known that 2,695 relate to recent days. Since yesterday, 27 deaths have been recorded, but only one is from today and the others from recent days. In the last 24 hours, 43,490 were processed, including molecular and antigenic. The current positives on the island drop to 187,401. In just one day, 28,801 were healed. Since the beginning of the pandemic, the victims have been 10,104. Of the current positives, 971 patients are hospitalized with symptoms, while 61 patients are in intensive care. This is the breakdown of the new cases on a provincial basis: 1,951 in Palermo, 1,182 in Catania, 1,286 in Messina, 455 in Ragusa, 507 in Trapani, 563 in Syracuse, 508 in Caltanissetta, 673 in Agrigento and 319 in Enna.
