There are 8,259 new Coronavirus infections in Italy today, 19 September 2022, according to Covid data and numbers – region by region – of the Civil Protection bulletin and the Ministry of Health. There are also 31 other deaths for a total of 176,609 victims since the beginning of the pandemic.
In the last 24 hours, 67,416 swabs were processed, including molecular and antigenic, with a positivity rate of 12.2%. There are a total of 3,493 hospitalizations, 73 more since yesterday, while the intensive care units employed are slightly down, 6 less since yesterday, for a total of 151 hospitalized.

LAZIO – There are 815 new infections today, 19 September 2022, in Lazio, out of 2,990 molecular swabs and 5,689 antigenic swabs for a total of 8,679 tests. There was 1 death, 346 hospitalized (-22), 25 intensive care (stable) and +1,274 recovered. The ratio of positives to swabs is 9.3%. There are 487 cases in Rome city. LOMBARDY – There are 2,243 new infections from Coronavirus today, 19 September 2022 in Lombardy, according to Covid data in the latest bulletin of the Region. Since yesterday there have been 7 deaths for a total of 42,433 deaths since the beginning of the pandemic.
In the last 24 hours, 15,633 swabs were processed, including molecular and antigenic, for a positivity rate of 14.3%. Ordinary hospitalizations in Lombard hospitals are 477, 13 more than yesterday, while those in intensive care drop to 10, two people less than 24 hours ago.
In the province of Milan there are 611 new positives, of which 283 in the city of Milan. In Bergamo 261, Brescia 390, Como 150, Cremona 89, Lecco 62, Lodi 38, Mantua 102, Monza and Brianza 165, Pavia 127, Sondrio 47 and Varese 131.
SARDINIA – In Sardinia today, 19 September 2022, 222 further infections are recorded, of which 191 diagnosed with antigenic swab. A total of 1020 swabs were processed, including molecular and antigenic. The patients admitted to the intensive care units are 7 (as yesterday), the patients admitted to the medical area are 74 (+7) while the cases of home isolation are 4343 (-406). The death of two men aged 80 and 85, residing in the province of Oristano, is recorded.
EMILIA ROMAGNA – There are 731 new infections from Coronavirus today, 19 September 2022 in Emilia Romagna, according to Covid data in the latest bulletin of the Region. Since yesterday there have been 3 deaths for a total of 17,984 victims since the beginning of the pandemic.
In the last 24 hours, 4,301 swabs were processed, of which 1,957 were molecular and 2,344 rapid antigen tests. Overall, the percentage of new positives on the number of tampons made is 17%. The patients currently hospitalized in the intensive care units in Emilia-Romagna are 23 (like yesterday), the average age is 65.2 years. As for the patients hospitalized in the other Covid departments, they are 639 (+26 compared to yesterday, +4.2%), average age 74.3 years.
14,508 people in home isolation, 95.6% of the total number of active cases. The total people healed are 1,167 more than yesterday and reach 1,811,407.
ABRUZZO – There are 261 new coronavirus infections today, 19 September 2022, in Abruzzo, bringing the total from the beginning of the emergency – net of realignments – to 550278. The death toll records 1 new case (an 81 year old) and it rises to 3657. The number of positive cases also includes 518916 discharged / healed (+591 compared to yesterday). This was communicated by the Regional Health Department specifying that the currently positive in Abruzzo are 27705 (-331 compared to yesterday).
Of these, 104 patients (-3 compared to yesterday) are hospitalized in the medical area; 3 (unchanged from yesterday) in intensive care, while the rest are in home isolation. In the last 24 hours, 218 molecular swabs were performed (2473317 in total since the start of the emergency) and 1110 antigen tests (4312810).
Of the total number of positive cases, 111592 are resident or domiciled in the province of L’Aquila (+76 compared to yesterday), 157004 in the province of Chieti (+60), 128367 in the province of time.news (+84), 132326 in the province of Teramo ( +51), 12213 outside the region (+3) and 8776 (-13) for which provenance checks are underway.
BASILICATA – There are 75 new Coronavirus infections today, 19 September 2022 in Basilicata, according to Covid-19 data in the latest bulletin of the Region. There have been no deaths in the region since yesterday. In the last 24 hours, 465 swabs were processed, including molecular and antigenic. 134 healings were recorded in the same report. There are 20 hospitalized for Covid, two fewer than yesterday, of which none in intensive care. Overall, the current positives residing in Basilicata are 5,760.
CALABRIA – There are 285 coronavirus infections in Calabria today, 19 September 2022, according to numbers and covid data from the region’s bulletin. Registered 1 dead. New cases were identified on 1,967 swabs performed. The data: +391 recovered and 1 dead (for a total of 2,991 deaths). The bulletin also records -107 currently positive, +5 hospitalizations (for a total of 116) and, finally, -1 intensive care (for a total of 5).
