Here’s how much the days of non-work cost

CorriereTv

In a note dated 6 August, INPS clarified that, upon returning from holidays, the rules on the management of the quarantine for Covid change. In fact, the Institute will no longer cover the costs of non-work (seven for those who are vaccinated, ten for those who are not), but companies. Some companies (those unable to activate smartworking) therefore seem willing to have employees cover the costs of non-work. If the companies do not cover the Inps services, there will be damage to the paycheck for workers between 600 and 700 euros, on average, for ten days of absence. One company speaks of a “regulatory mess”. The unions, in a letter to ministers Orlando and Franco, ask for urgent regulatory intervention. The knot must be dissolved before the expiry of the current pay period, to avoid misunderstandings as to who should pay the salary for the days of compulsory absence.
