There are 1,134 new coronavirus infections in Sicily according to data from today’s bulletin, 12 August 2021. There are another 12 deaths in the last 24 hours, for a total of 6,121 deaths in the region since the beginning of the covid-19 pandemic. The region, at risk of the yellow zone, remains first in Italy for new cases. 16,602 swabs have been tried since yesterday. There are currently 16,234 positives. Patients with symptoms are 473 (+14 compared to yesterday), patients in intensive care 59 (unchanged) with 2 admissions of the day. There are 15,702 people in home isolation.
