Covid, the 11-year-old girl hospitalized at Sant’Orsola is better

The 11-year-old girl hospitalized for a few weeks at the Sant’Orsola hospital in Bologna in serious condition due to Covid reacted to the treatment and came out of intensive care. «The news that is good. The news that helps us to move forward », reads the Facebook page of the polyclinic. “We have hoped for it, we have tried it, we have believed it. We watched over her, we caressed her, we played her favorite music, we talked to her. Our job is to never leave patients alone ». “Day and night, without a break from the protective devices for drinking, eating and resting, checking the vital parameters, always ready to intervene”, continues the polyclinic.

The commitment against the virus

At Sant’Orsola “we continue our team work with determination for the care of all patients: 402 beds dedicated to Covid set up at Sant’Orsola, of these 100 in the critical area, intensive and semi-intensive therapy. The effort is very heavy for the operators and for the organization. There are 1,300 Covid beds throughout Bologna and its province, as if all 32 pavilions of the Sant’Orsola Polyclinic were one large Covid Hospital ».
