There are 30,630 new covid infections in Italy today, April 4, 2022, according to numbers and data from the bulletin – region by region – of the Civil Protection and Ministry of Health. There are also another 125 deaths. 14,877,144 people have been infected by Covid since the beginning of the pandemic while 13,442,930 have been healed (+40,915). The currently positive ones are 1,274,305 (-9,711). 159,909 the total number of victims in Italy.
Admissions are up, with 224 more people than yesterday, for a total of 10,241, while those in intensive care are down, with 6 fewer people than yesterday, for a total of 483.
COVID NUMBERS, REGION BY REGION BULLETIN:
LOMBARDY – There are 2,512 new Covid-19 positives recorded in the last 24 hours in Lombardy. The swabs carried out were 24,242, for a positivity rate of 10.3%. There were 14 deaths, for a total of 39,329 since the start of the pandemic. According to data released by the Region, 1,107 people (+26) are hospitalized in hospitals and 45 (+1) in intensive care.
In the province of Milan there are 908 new positives, of which 524 in the city of Milan; in Bergamo 133, in Brescia 372, in Como 112, in Cremona 76, in Lecco 51, in Lodi 17, in Mantua 109, in Monza and Brianza 236, in Pavia 158, in Sondrio 16 and in Varese 221.
CAMPANIA – There are 3,384 new covid infections in Campania according to today’s bulletin. there are also 6 other deaths: 4 deaths occurred in the last 48 hours and 2 which occurred previously but recorded yesterday. 19,925 tests carried out. In Campania there are 35 Covid patients hospitalized in intensive care and 729 hospitalized in hospital wards.
VENETO – There are 2,048 new coronavirus infections today 4 April in Veneto, according to the data of the latest Covid-19 bulletin from Azienda Zero. There are no deaths for yesterday.
The total number of cases since the beginning of the pandemic has broken through the million and a half ceiling, 1,511,785, while the currently positive ones are 81,043. The total number of deaths since the beginning of the pandemic is 14,193. In the Venetian hospitals 569 people are hospitalized in the medical area and 32 in intensive care. In community hospitals there are 126 positive patients. Yesterday 613 doses of the vaccine were administered.
SICILY – There are 1,993 new coronavirus infections in Sicily today, 4 April 2022, according to numbers and covid data from the region’s bulletin. 5 deaths registered, 2,801 patients recovered. On the island, in total, there are 186,948 positives, 114 fewer than yesterday, and of these 1,013 are hospitalized in the ordinary regime, 61 in intensive care and 185,874 are in home isolation.
LAZIO – There are 3,834 coronavirus infections in Lazio today, 4 April 2022, according to numbers and covid data from the region. Recorded 9 deaths. In Rome 2,383 new cases. “Today in Lazio, out of 8,376 molecular swabs and 19,118 antigenic swabs for a total of 27,494 swabs, there are 3,834 new positive cases (-2,699); there are 9 deaths (+5), 1,197 hospitalized (+3), 73 intensive therapies (+1) and +5,907 the healed. The ratio between positives and swabs is 13.9%. The cases in Rome city are at 2,383 “, says the councilor for health, Alessio D’Amato.

EMILIA ROMAGNA – Since the beginning of the Coronavirus epidemic, 1,298,517 positive cases have been recorded in Emilia-Romagna, 3,195 more than yesterday, out of a total of 11,791 swabs performed in the last 24 hours, of which 6,192 molecular and 5,599 rapid antigen tests. There are also another 18 deaths. Overall, the percentage of new positives on the number of tampons made is 27.1%. Meanwhile, the anti-Covid vaccination campaign continues. At 2 pm a total of 10,295,954 doses were administered; of the total 3,774,577 people over 12 who have completed the vaccination cycle, 93.9%. The third doses made are 2,747,845. Patients currently hospitalized in the intensive care units in Emilia-Romagna are 27 (-5 compared to yesterday, equal to -16%), the average age is 66.2 years. As for the patients hospitalized in the other Covid departments, they are 1,239 (+50 compared to yesterday, + 4%), average age 75.7 years.
CALABRIA – There are 1,997 new covid infections in Calabria according to today’s bulletin, April 4th. There are also another 6 deaths. 7,973 swabs performed, +1,189 cured, the total number of deaths in the region rises to 2,334. The bulletin also records +802 currently positive, +16 hospitalizations (for a total of 364) and, finally, stable intensive care (for a total of 20).
ABRUZZO – There are 762 coronavirus infections in Abruzzo today, 4 April 2022, according to numbers and covid data from the region’s bulletin. Recorded 9 deaths. Of today’s positives, 680 were identified through rapid antigen testing. The death toll of patients recorded 9 new cases (aged between 70 and 89 years, 4 in the province of Teramo, 1 in the province of Chieti, 1 in the province of L’Aquila, 1 in the province of time.news, while 2 cases date back to past and have been communicated only today by the ASL) and rises to 3,112, as communicated by the Regional Health Department.
Recorded 1,346 others recovered. The currently positives in Abruzzo are 42,680 (- 593 compared to yesterday). 309 patients are hospitalized in the medical area; 13 (-3 compared to yesterday) in intensive care, while the other 42,358 (-590 compared to yesterday) are in home isolation with active surveillance by the ASL. In the last 24 hours, 1,361 molecular swabs and 4,481 antigen tests were performed. The positivity rate, calculated on the sum of molecular swabs and antigen tests of the day, is equal to 13.04%.
VALLE D’AOSTA – There are 15 coronavirus infections in Valle d’Aosta today, 4 April 2022, according to numbers and covid data from the region’s bulletin. There are no deaths. The infected in the region from the beginning of the epidemic to today therefore rise to 32,831. The current positives are 1200 of which 1173 in home isolation and 27 hospitalized.
The healed are a total of 31,105, an increase of 65 units compared to yesterday. The cases tested to date are 131,260 while the swabs carried out so far are four 491,310. The deaths of people who tested positive for Covid from the beginning of the emergency to today in Valle d’Aosta are 526.
TUSCANY – There are 1,640 coronavirus infections in Tuscany today, April 4, 2022, according to numbers and covid data from the region’s bulletin. There are another 22 deaths. The new Covid cases, 669 confirmed with molecular swab and 971 by rapid antigen test, bring the total to 999,397 since the beginning of the Coronavirus pandemic and are 0.2% more than the previous day’s total. The healed grew by 0.4% and reached 941,044 (94.2% of total cases).
Today 4,171 molecular swabs and 6,899 rapid antigenic swabs were performed, of which 14.8% were positive. On the other hand, 3,277 subjects tested today (with antigenic and / or molecular swab, excluding control swabs), of which 50% were positive. The current positives are 48,807 today, -3.7% compared to yesterday. The hospitalized are 934 (43 more than yesterday), of which 43 in intensive care (7 more). Today there are 22 new deaths: 11 men and 11 women with an average age of 80.7 years. These are the data – ascertained at 12 today on the basis of the requests of the National Civil Protection – relating to the progress of the epidemic in the region.
FRIULI VENEZIA GIULIA – There are 282 new coronavirus infections today 4 April in Friuli Venezia Giulia, according to data from the latest covid-19 bulletin. There are another 2 deaths. On 1,269 molecular swabs carried out, 60 new cases were detected, with a positive percentage of 4.73%. In addition, 2,045 rapid antigenic tests have been carried out, from which 222 cases (10.86%) were detected. 7 people are hospitalized in intensive care, while 144 patients are hospitalized in other departments, according to Riccardo Riccardi, the deputy governor of the Region with responsibility for Health.
As regards the trend of the spread of the virus among the population, the most affected groups are the 40-49 years (19.50%) and the 50-59 years (16.31%); followed by the 30-39 year old (15.25%). Today there is the death of an 87 year old woman from Trieste (who died in hospital) and an 80 year old man from Cividale del Friuli (who died in hospital) .
PUGLIA – There are 2,683 new coronavirus infections today 4 April in Puglia, according to data from the latest covid-19 bulletin. There are another 6 deaths. The new cases, identified on 19,907 swabs carried out, are divided as follows by province: Bari: 917; Bat: 234; Brindisi: 272; Foggia: 333; Lecce: 620; Taranto: 285; Residents outside the region: 17; Province in definition: 5. There are 116,411 people currently positive, 682 hospitalized in a non-critical area, 40 in intensive care. Overall data: 938,980 total cases, 9,856,086 swabs performed, 814,564 people healed and 8,005 deaths.
BASILICATA – There are 508 new coronavirus infections today 4 April in Basilicata, according to data from the latest covid-19 bulletin. There are another 5 deaths. The new ones were identified on a total of 2,202 swabs (molecular and antigenic). The deceased people resided in Potenza, Trivigno, Scanzano Jonico, Policoro and Ferrandina. 258 healings were recorded.
The hospitalized for Covid-19 are 101 (-5) of which 1 (-2) in intensive care: 57 (of which 1 in TI) in the Potenza hospital; 44 (of which 2 in TI) in that of Matera. Overall, the current positives residing in Basilicata are over 26 thousand.
SARDINIA – There are 760 new coronavirus infections today 4 April in Sardinia, according to data from the latest covid-19 bulletin. There are 4 more deaths. The new cases were confirmed by 130 molecular and 622 antigenic swabs, out of a total of 3,428 tests processed. There was a slight increase in the number of hospitalized patients with 25 places occupied in intensive care (+1) and 328 in the medical area (+4). With a decrease of 141 cases, 30,519 people are subjected to home isolation. The four victims are all in the southern part of the island: three men aged 68, 74 and 81 from Cagliari and another 79-year-old from Southern Sardinia.
TRENTINO – There are 163 new covid infections in Trentino according to today’s bulletin, April 4th. There is also another death: it is a woman over ninety, vaccinated, but with other previous pathologies. 2 of the new cases were positive for the molecular (out of 103 tests carried out) and 161 for the antigenic (out of 1,566 tests carried out). The molecular then confirm 3 positivity intercepted in the past few days by the rapid tests.
