VENETO
There are almost 4,000 coronavirus infections in Veneto today, 10 December 2021, according to numbers and covid data from the region’s bulletin. 13 more deaths recorded. In detail, there are 3,993 new infected for a total of almost 46 thousand positive people in isolation. There is also a marked increase in hospitalizations: 46 more in medical areas while there is a drop in intensive care.
FRIULI VENEZIA GIULIA
There are 483 new coronavirus infections in Friuli Venezia Giulia according to today’s bulletin, 10 December. In addition, six deaths were recorded in the last 24 hours. On 7,150 molecular swabs, 379 new infections were detected, with a positive percentage of 5.3%. There are also 22,652 rapid antigenic tests carried out, from which 104 cases (0.46%) were detected. Today the deaths of 6 people are recorded: specifically, three women from Trieste, 95, 92 and 80 years old (the first two died in RSA, the last in hospital), a 93-year-old woman from Grado (died in hospital), a 91-year-old woman from San Canzian d’Isonzo (who died in RSA) and a 78-year-old man from Palazzolo dello Stella (who died in hospital). There are 26 people hospitalized in intensive care, while patients in other departments amount to 296, according to Riccardo Riccardi, the deputy governor of the Region with responsibility for Health.
TUSCANY
There are 870 coronavirus infections in Tuscany today, 10 December 2021, according to numbers and covid data from the region’s bulletin anticipated by governor Eugenio Giani. “The new cases registered in Tuscany are 870 out of 38,333 tests of which 10,464 molecular swabs and 27,869 rapid tests. The rate of new positives is 2.27% (8.4% on the first diagnoses)”, writes Giani, adding that the vaccines currently administered are 6,589,749. Recorded 6 more deaths.
New cases are 0.3% more than the previous day’s total. The healed grew by 0.1% and reached 288,896 (93.8% of total cases). The currently positive are 11,744 today, + 4.1% compared to yesterday. There are 334 hospitalized (9 more than yesterday), of which 49 are in intensive care (2 more).
The average age of today’s 870 new positives is approximately 36 years (32% are under 20, 18% between 20 and 39, 33% between 40 and 59, 14% between 60 and 79, 3% have 80 years or older).
Overall, 11,410 people are in isolation at home, as they have mild symptoms that do not require hospital care, or are symptom-free (457 more than yesterday, up 4.2%).
There are 29,655 (2,369 more than yesterday, plus 8.7%) people, also isolated, in active surveillance because they have had contact with infected people.
