Covid and intensive care in Italy, here is the latest picture of the situation. The average occupation, nationwide, of Covid beds in the intensive care units of Italian hospitals has remained stable – for two days – at 15%, while it records in the last 24 hours an increase in 6 regions, a decrease in 4 regions / autonomous provinces, the others are stable, according to the latest data from the Agency for Health Services (Agenas), updated last night.

In detail, there is an increase of 1 percentage point in Abruzzo (which thus stands at 18%); Friuli Venezia Giulia (22%); Lazio (21%); Liguria (14%), while Molise rises by 3 percentage points, reaching 8%. The employment of intensive care units is reduced by 1 percentage point in the autonomous provinces of Bolzano (to 19%) and Trento (23%) and in Veneto (13%), and by 6 percentage points in Valle d’Aosta ( at 9%).

To date, the Province of Trento has the highest employment in resuscitation with 23% while Basilicata with 5% is the region with the lowest percentage.

The national average occupancy of Covid beds in the ordinary medical departments then falls back to 29% after 17 days. On 18 January it had risen by one percentage point to 30% and then remained stable, except for a peak at 31% which lasted two days (25 and 26 January). In the last 24 hours there has been a decline in 11 regions / autonomous provinces, an increase in three regions, while all the others are stable.

In detail, the occupation of Covid beds is reduced by 1 percentage point in: Calabria (reaching 36%); Emilia Romagna (27%); Friuli Venezia Giulia (38%); Lazio (32%); Lombardy (27%); Molise (22%); Province of Trento (29%); Sicily (37%); Tuscany (26%); Valle d’Aosta (33%) and Veneto (24%). Covid hospitalizations increased by 1 percentage point in Abruzzo (to 37%) and Sardinia (to 24%) and by 3 percentage points in Puglia (to 26%).

The Regions with the highest employment are Friuli Venezia Giulia and Lazio with 38%, the one with the lowest percentage is Molise at 22%.
