Coyoacán boosts education with delivery of school supplies

The Coyoacan City Hall began delivering more than 50 thousand packages of school supplies for preschool, primary and secondary school students who will return to school, in order to support the economy of families in the district.

The social program, which the mayor’s office reported complies with the corresponding regulations regarding social assistance, made school packages for basic education available to mothers and fathers, as well as to students’ guardians.

“The goal is to ensure that no student is left without the necessary tools to be able to start their classes on Monday; the Coyoacán mayor’s office is committed to providing high-quality, long-lasting school supplies so that they can begin the school year with everything they need for their learning,” the municipality confirmed in a message.

The demarcation specified that, according to the call issued and published in the Official Gazette of Mexico Citygirls, boys and young people who live in Coyoacán and who are enrolled in preschool, primary and secondary schools located, preferably, in neighborhoods with a medium, high and very high degree of marginalization, as well as those who attend the Multiple Care Centers (CAM), or to any special education school.

The demarcation pointed out that for the current administration it is essential that students have safe spaces, with the necessary instruments and quality facilities to be able to return to school or begin their studies, as the case may be, so it also placed special emphasis on allocating material and financial resources for the maintenance of educational facilities where they were waterproofed, painted, facilities were changed and toilets were renovated for the safety of girls, boys and adolescents.
