CPAD released the theme for the next quarter for Lições Bíblicas, a Sunday School magazine used by most Assemblies of God in the country: “The Body of Christ”, with a focus on combating movements such as the unchurched, false preachers and their false doctrines.
The Publication House of the Assemblies of God invited pastor and writer José Gonçalves, leader of the Assembly of God in Água Branca (PI) to address current issues, such as the “prophets of the lives”, the relevance of biblical disciplines and other fads.
The publisher’s Bible Lessons are the material used by thousands of EBD classrooms in churches from north to south of Brazil. The approach adopted by the quarter’s commentator was to present the themes indirectly, according to information from the portal JM News.
The theme “The Body of Christ – Origin, Nature and Mission of the Church in the World” will be broken down into 13 lessons in the next quarter’s magazines:
1 – The Origin of the Church
2 – Biblical Images of the Church
3 – The Nature of the Church
4 – The Church and the Kingdom of God
5 – The Mission of the Church of Christ
6 – Church: Organism and Organization
7 – The Ministry of the Church
8 – Discipline in the Church
9 – Baptism – The First Ordinance of the Church
10 – The Lord’s Supper – The Second Ordinance of the Church
11 – The Worship of the Christian Church
12 – The Role of Preaching in Worship
13 – The Power of God in the Mission of the Church
These lessons will cover different topics for understanding the doctrine of the church, including its origin, nature and mission. Pastor Gonçalves is a respected academic, with a degree in theology and philosophy, and a master’s degree in theology from Faculdade Batista do Paraná, in addition to a specialization in Biblical Interpretation.
