Palakkad ∙ 4 more accused have been arrested in the case of CPM Kunnangad branch secretary Shahjahan being hacked to death. N. Siddharthan (36) of Kallepulli, Kurupath Awas (Dudu-30), Malampuzha Chembana Atthikulump Jinesh (Valut-32) and Kottekkad Kunnankad Biju (27) were arrested.
In order to interrogate Awas, on the complaint of his mother that he had gone missing after being taken into police custody on the 16th, the advocate commissioner appointed by the court had inspected the Town South and North police stations and the DySP office.
His mother had also complained that his friend Jayaraj, who was taken away by the police along with Awas, was missing. Advocate Commissioner Sriraj Valli was examined yesterday afternoon on these complaints.
