Koothuparamp ∙ CPM local committee member was found dead after filing a case on morphing complaint. A member of the CPM South Local Committee and a former leader of DYFI, M. Muralidharan (42) of Pookode Thrikannapuram died.

The police had registered a case against Muralidharan on the complaint that he had morphed the pictures of women and children and circulated them. Muralidharan, who went missing, was found dead yesterday. He is an employee of Koothuparam Service Co-operative Bank. The body was found in a deserted garden in broad daylight.

CPM expelled Muralidharan yesterday after registering a case under the POCSO department. The complaint is that women’s photos from their WhatsApp profiles were morphed and circulated. A case was also registered against the friend of Trikannapuram Kalarimuk in the incident. He was injured in a suicide attempt at home and was admitted to a private hospital in Kannur.
