BOLZANO. The debate on CPRs is reopened, repatriation detention centers for migrants. The president of the Province of Trento Maurizio Fugatti recently confirmed the will to establish a structure in Trento, while as regards Bolzano the majority had expressed itself in this sense already at the time of the installation of the council.
The councilor intervenes on the topic Christian Bianchi (Lega-Uniti per l’Alto Adige): «The creation of a CPR in Bolzano is now more necessary than ever to deal with expulsion activities autonomously and effectively», he writes in a note. «With the hope that the police will continue to operate with the same intensity seen in 2024, it is necessary to underline the importance of providing the provinces of Bolzano and Trento with adequate structures, in order to guarantee better and more efficient management of repatriation procedures. We would not like to have to host people from other regions, so we must adopt the same principle of local management for people to be expelled from our territory», continues the councilor.
