International arts and crafts fair begins at Iringal Sargalaya. The 19-day fair was inaugurated by Minister PA Muhammad Riaz. The fair will have artisans from 12 countries and 236 stalls from 26 states. Jamila MLA presided over Kanath. Craft Bazaar Pavilion Collector Dr. Tej Lohit Reddy, International Craft Pavilion Municipal Chairman Vadakkil Shefiq and NABARD Pavilion Chief General Manager Gopakumaran Nair inaugurated the event. Uralungal Labor Contract Society Chairman Ramesan Paleri gave the gift. Councilor Muhammad Ashraf, Dr. Saji Prabhakaran, Niranjankumar Jonnalagada, MP Shibu and Mathil Nanu spoke. Sargalaya Chief Executive Officer PP Bhaskaran welcomed and General Manager TK Rajesh congratulated. Wayanad Malamuzhaki troupe’s bamboo music program was also staged.
