The man from Hamburg admits that he is not entirely innocent. He put an item up for sale on a classifieds platform. A “buyer” showed interest and asked for the credit card number and not only that – also for the check digit of the card. A few minutes later, the man from Hamburg realized that giving out the credit card security number was probably not a good idea. He picked up the phone and dialed 116 116.
