The credit for 15 million pesos sought by the Parras de La Fuente city council, for which it has requested the authorization of the State Congress, would be applied to environmental projects, stressed Mayor Fernando Orozco Lara.

He stressed that in this Magical Town the construction of a sanitary landfill and a wastewater treatment plant is urgent, for which these resources are required after having received weak finances from former mayor Ramiro Pérez, who is being investigated by the Anti-Corruption Prosecutor.

He referred to the request delivered to the State Congress, for up to 15 million pesos and which was included, in an addendum, in the 2023 Income Law, for that municipality and which will be reviewed by the Finance Commission chaired by Deputy Jesús María Montemayor Heron.

“What the State Congress authorizes is a possibility of having a credit. We are going to study, we do have the need to do positive things for the municipality and based on this make the decision, together with the councilors and trustees, ”he said.

He commented that the objective is to leave a good legacy to the municipality and in this case, it is about environmental projects that are necessary for Parras, in order to maintain the name of Pueblo Mágico.

“We bring this backlog from the wastewater treatment plant and the sanitary landfill, which are issues that as a Magical Town we have the obligation to have and often due to budget limitations they are not done,” he said.
