Hyderabad: Telugu superstar Krishna, veteran actor of Telugu film industry, former MP and father of actor Mahesh Babu, passed away due to heart attack in hospital yesterday.
Meanwhile, the body was taken from his home in Hyderabad to the Padmalaya studio owned by actor Krishna yesterday morning, where arrangements were made for fans to pay their last respects.
Andhra Chief Minister Jaganmohan Reddy paid floral tributes to Krishna’s body. Also, celebrities including actors Chiranjeevi, Balakrishna, Sarathkumar, actress Jayapratha, Varalakshmi paid tributes.
Later, actor Krishna’s body was taken to the Min Mayan in Jubilee Hills area in a van decorated with flowers. Then a large number of fans along the way participated in the funeral procession. Interment took place at Min Cemetery. Later, actor Krishna’s body was cremated there with state honours.
