Cremation of Congress MLA Thirumakan Evera- Dinamani

Congress party members, people’s representatives and general public participated in the final procession.

Erode East Constituency Congress MLA Thirumagan Eevera, who died of a heart attack, was cremated on Thursday.

Senior Congress leader EVKS Elangovan’s elder son and Erode East Constituency Congress MLA Thirumagan Evera (46) passed away on Wednesday at 12.30 pm due to a heart attack. Subsequently, Chief Minister M.K.Stalin, who came to Erode on Wednesday night, paid tributes.

Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly Leader Appavu, Congress Tamil Nadu In-Charge Dinesh Kundurao, Minister M. P. Saminathan, Tamil Nadu Congress Committee President KS Azhagiri, former Congress State President K. V. Thangapalu, M. MPs Thirunavukkarasar, Subparayan, Karthi Chidambaram, Jyothimani, Tamaka leader GK Vasan, former BJP state president CP Radhakrishnan, Adithamiz assembly president Adiyaman and others paid tributes to Thirumagan Evera on Thursday.

Cremation at E-Cemetery:

Following this, the body of Thirumagan Evera was taken from the house and cremated in Atma Min Mayan on the banks of Cauvery river. A condolence meeting was held at the Min Mayan complex. The meeting was presided over by Tamil Nadu Congress President Srivalla Prasad.

Holiday for textile market:

All the shops along the road where the funeral procession took place were closed to pay their respects to the MLA. Big shops and establishments in Erode were also closed and workers and employees stood outside the shops and paid tribute.

On the occasion of Thirumakan Eevera’s demise, the Erode Kani textile market was declared a holiday on Thursday.
