Hyundai has entered the field to develop an EV version of the Creta car.
Following the likes of Tata and Kia, Hyundai, which is slowly growing in electric car production, is planning to increase its electric products in India. In that way, while the Hyundai Kona EV model that is already on sale has been well received, an information has been released that will give a pleasant surprise to Hyundai customers. Hyundai Creta eV is said to be working on an EV version of its popular model.
Apart from that, it seems that Hyundai has decided to start production of the new Creta EV in 2024 and go on sale in 2025. This car is undergoing testing in the outskirts of Chennai and information has been leaked through its spy pictures. But complete information about its performance, and battery pack is not known.

It is code named SU2i EV. Apart from that, the lower part was bigger in this EV prototype car. It looks like it might have been modified for a battery pack. In Chennai, an EV was spotted parked on the side of a charging station and revealed to be the EV version of the Creta.
Hyundai is also trying to shift its e-GMP platform from an international market to a fully in-India platform for making EVs. It is said that its production has been postponed till 2024 for this reason.

If the Hyundai EV hits the market, it is expected to be priced between Rs 15 and 30 lakh. Similarly, the Maruti EVX SUV is said to compete with the likes of the EV car and the Kia Seltos EV car. Apart from this, Hyundai is preparing to launch a total of 6 electric cars in 2028.
