Trichy
The state level cricket tournament for under-16 boys in Trichy started yesterday at Bishop Heber College ground. This cricket tournament is conducted as 20 over matches known as T-20 and is held in knockout mode for 5 consecutive days. Teams from various districts including Chennai and Trichy participated in this competition. On the first day yesterday, the cricket match was played by CSI. Trichy-Tanjai District Archbishop Chandrasekaran inaugurated the event. The program was attended by the father of Indian cricketer Washington Sundar and former cricketer Sundar and Prince.
