Mumbai: 8 people arrested in the gang-rape of a 16-year-old girl. The incident took place in Palghar, Maharashtra. Reportedly, a minor boy is also among the accused. He was the one who lured the girl to a deserted bungalow in Palghar. It was there that the girl was tortured by eight people for twelve hours.

The incident took place on Friday evening. According to the police, from that time till eleven in the morning on Saturday, the eight of them took turns torturing the girl. In the complaint, the girl says that she was raped in the bungalow and then in the bushes near the beach. Various sections including POCSO case have been charged against 8 persons who were arrested on the girl’s complaint.

Pathanamthitta: Job Fraud Case: Police arrested The police arrested them on the complaint of Saji Mathew, a native of Pathanamthitta Konni. One of the arrested persons, Subha, is the wife of Anish, a resident of Mankot, who was arrested in the case of cheating crores of rupees last October. The second arrested person, Annamma Joseph, is a friend of Subha.

Anish, who was arrested in the case, was released on bail. Later Konni would come to the police station to sign. The police, who were suspicious of Anish who returned after signing, found the others. According to the complaint filed by a native of Konni, about 30 lakh rupees were lost from his hand. The police have taken into custody the agreement between the complainant and Anish saying that it was to buy the job. There are complaints against this group in various police stations of Kollam and Pathanamthitta districts.
