Sadashivanagar-Criminal case has been registered against 70 people who protested peacefully.

The Corporation has given permission to cut 30 trees to construct a flyover on Change Road in Sadasiva Nagar, Bengaluru. In protest against this, on February 19, the residents protested wearing black armbands.

The children hugged the tree and protested in a modern way not to cut it. Surrendering to this protest, the Corporation temporarily suspended the project of constructing the flyover.

On March 19, the Sadashivanagar police registered a criminal case against 70 people for protesting without permission. Notices have been sent to two people and they have summoned them for questioning.

This matter has now been revealed. The public has condemned the police and the corporation for filing criminal cases against those who protested peacefully.
