In November 2022, a commercial organization received a refusal from the Brest Regional Executive Committee to carry out the administrative procedure for agreeing on the selling price for clothing products with a profitability standard of 30%, as well as a recommendation to set selling prices for new consumer goods with a profitability standard of no more than 10%.
At the same time, this legal entity deliberately overestimated the calculation of fabric consumption and other indicators, while artificially reducing the profitability standard to 10%. Such manipulation led to the illegal preservation of the selling price for a number of new light industry goods and at the same time eliminating the need for its approval in accordance with the law in the Brest Regional Executive Committee.
Based on this fact, a criminal case was initiated against the deputy director of the enterprise for exceeding official powers under Part 1 of Article 426 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Belarus.
In the development of events, the economic court of the Brest region imposed a fine on the specified legal entity under Article 13.2 of the Code of the Republic of Belarus on Administrative Offenses for violating the established procedure for pricing.
