Thiruvananthapuram: CPM State Secretary MV Govindan says there is a crisis in the UDF. MV Govindan reiterated that the position of the Muslim League is correct. The CPM state secretary reiterated his position in an article in the CPM mouthpiece Desabhimani.
The League and RSP came out against the Governor’s stand. MV Govindan says that their support to the government’s position has created a crisis in the UDF. CPM will support whoever takes up the anti-Sangh Parivar agenda. Some UDF constituents find the LDF policy acceptable. MV Govindan stated in the article that this is a good sign.
CP will support and encourage whoever takes the position of joining the fight for the development of Kerala and against the political agenda of the Sangh Parivar. M will always be ahead. Based on that, the stand taken by the Muslim League and others on the current Vizhinjam problem and the Governor’s problem in Kerala was welcomed. MV Govindan says in the article that CPM is committed to accept such a position with an open mind.
This is also an indication that the policies adopted by the LDF and the government are gaining support beyond politics. The article also notes that it is a good sign for the country that even the constituents of the UDF think that the policies of the Left are more acceptable than those of the Congress to counter the Sangh Parivar agendas.

The CPI state leadership had already expressed displeasure over MV Govindan’s remarks praising the League. The CPI is of the view that giving a good certificate to the League in the opposite slum, even though it is not a communal party, is an immature discussion. At present LDF is not facing any crisis, the problems are with the opposition, although the League is not a communal party like the PFI, the CPI accused the party of giving a good certificate to the opposing slum party as an unnecessary step.
