Cristino Burlan, former AIC student, premieres today (15/12) at 10pm, on SescTV, the documentary “Antunes Filho – from the Heart to the Eye”, an original SescTV production directed by Burlan.

The film delves into the forays of Antunes Filho – the great Brazilian director, actor and playwright – into audiovisual, including his teletheaters, and the film “Compasso de Espera”. In this transition of languages, we understand the motivations and creative reflections of this theater maker, cinephile and cinema enthusiast. Even though he only made one film, his theatrical work is permeated by cinematographic references. Through archive materials, which reveal the cinema perceived and spoken by the director himself, we walk along the boundary between reality and the dream that allowed him to fill each frame with music, poetry and a manifesto. Antunes Filho reveals how his passion for cinema directly interfered with his aesthetics.

In addition to today’s screening at 10pm, the documentary will be shown on 12/18, at 11pm, and 12/22, at 12am and is available on demand on the SesctTV platform: sesctv.org.br/antunesfilho
