Perpignan and Wolves hooker Mike Tadjer has revealed the Portuguese star sent them a congratulatory message.
Interviewed by Actu Rugby, the hooker of Perpignan and Wolves, Mike Tadjer (33 years old, 25 selections), confided that the Portuguese star had sent them a message of congratulations after their qualification, Friday, for the Rugby World Cup 2023 in France.
«The president of the Portuguese Rugby Federation showed me a tribute from Cristiano Ronaldo who congratulated us on our qualification. (…) We all received a lot of messages from all over France and Portugal, it was incredible. (…) There has also been great enthusiasm from Portuguese supporters for this tournament and that is an excellent thing, because it proves that rugby is developing well in Portugal. It was important to materialize this through a qualification“, rejoiced the player.
«I received a lot of messages on social networks that I haven’t had time to read all of them yet. We’re only just beginning to realize that what we’ve done is absolutely insane. (…) On the last penalty, I hid, because I was already crying“, also told Mike Tadjer.
