In the midst of the exchange rate that put the national government in check, Cristina Kirchner will reappear this Thursday afternoon and everything indicates that he will renew his criticism of the International Monetary Fund (IMF). Those questions will resonate, while the Minister of Economy, Sergio Massa, carries out a renegotiation to prevent the program from falling due to the recent failure to meet goals.

The Vice President plans to give a keynote speech to launch the Néstor Kirchner Justicialista School (EJNK), at the Teatro Argentino de La Plata. This is an emblematic scenario for the Kirchner militancy because it was the one Cristina Kirchner chose to announce her candidacy for Senator, in 2005, and for President, in 2007.

For the event, a massive mobilization of the sectors identified with the former president is expected, mainly from La Cámpora. Therefore, the organizers will install giant screens in the vicinity of the theater.

Cristina Kirchner reappears in an act

The master class that Cristina Kirchner will offer was entitled “April 27, 2003-2023. The Circular Argentina. The IMF and its historic recipe for inflation and recession. Political fragmentation and economic concentration”.

Everything indicates that the Vice President will insist on her criticism of the IMF, just as other Kirchner leaders have done in recent days. Days ago, her son Máximo Kirchner was in charge of targeting the Fund and sending a message to its managing director, Kristalina Georgieva.

The national deputy and head of the Buenos Aires Justicialist Party (PJ) recalled that he did not support the understanding with the Fund during his treatment in Congress because he understood that “this agreement was going to have the consequences it is having.”

“It is an unfulfillable agreement and that only this drought has accelerated the consequences. Because apart from this IMF that financed the campaign of (Mauricio) Macri with 45,000 million dollars, according to President Macri himself, he lent the money to Argentina because there was a drought. If he lent that money at that time because there was a drought, ask me how we can return that money with a (drought) that generates 10 million fewer tons of grain than Macri had,” Máximo Kirchner launched.

The referent from La Cámpora recalled that former Economy Minister Martín Guzmán mentioned to him that Georgieva is “a woman who suffered a lot in Bulgaria in her childhood, who has great social sense and great empathy with what happens to the people.” .

Next, he claimed: “I ask Mrs. Georgieva of the IMF that, if (Martín) Guzmán did not lie to me, that she does not have such perversity to apply to 40 million Argentines what she suffered as a child,” he launched after recalling that the former Minister of Economy mentioned that Georgieva is “a woman who suffered a lot in Bulgaria in her childhood, who has great social sense and great empathy with what happens to the people.”

Everything indicates that Cristina Kirchner will reinforce that position this Thursday. In the audiovisual material that she broadcast on her networks to announce his presentation, Néstor Kirchner appears with the text: “When they said ‘everyone should go’, the Fund left”.

Some members of the Frente de Todos are more explicit with their questions and demand that the administration of Alberto Fernández break relations with the Fund to face the crisis with a greater margin of action.

For now, beyond the recent failure to meet the goals linked to the deficit and the accumulation of reserves of the Central Bank, Minister Massa wants the Fund to make the action plan more flexible given the impact that the drought caused on the public accounts of the Argentina. The numbers that are handled in the new discussions range from 9,000 to 14,000 million dollars of losses.

Beyond the situation with the Fund, the words of the Vice President will concentrate all the attention of the Kirchner militancy because it will be the first pronouncement after knowing the decision of President Alberto Fernández not to fight for re-election.

Faced with this step to the side of Fernández, some sectors of Kirchnerism relaunched the operative clamor for the former president to reverse her decision not to participate in the next electoral contest.

The FDT has not yet resolved its great internal discussion to crown a candidate and the waters are still divided between the sectors that ask to settle the differences in the Open, Simultaneous and Mandatory Primaries (PASO) and those that ask for a candidate by consensus.
