Croatia wins Group 1 matches as part of the UEFA Nations League football tournament.
World champion France stumbled and saw a draw with Austria.
The match between Denmark and Croatia took place on Friday night in Copenhagen. Denmark are already top of Group 1 with 6 points. Attempts by both teams to score from the start were in vain. In the 69th minute of the second half, the only goal scored by the Croatian hero Basalik became the winning goal.
The match between world champions France-Austria was held in Vienna. The Austrian player, who dominated the start, scored his first goal in the 37th minute. Surprised, the French soldiers continued to try to score. But their efforts were thwarted by Austrian goalkeeper Bunts. The match ended 1-1 in the second half with a stunning goal from France’s star Clien Mappe in the 83rd minute.
France are forced to beat Croatia in the last match.
In other matches, Israel beat Albania 2-1, Slovakia beat Azerbaijan 1-0 and Latvida beat Moldova 4-2. Belarus-Kazakhstan match ended in a 1-1 draw.
