Croatian Petra Martic wins the Lausanne tournament

Croatian Petra Martic, 85th in the world, won the Lausanne 250 tournament on Sunday, her second title on the WTA circuit, beating Serbian Olga Danilovic (6-4, 6-2). Martic, who had eliminated the French Caroline Garcia the day before in the semis, dismissed the young left-handed 21-year-old (124th), from qualifying, in 1h29 and in two sets. At 31, she won her second title on the main circuit after a success in Istanbul in 2019.
