In the urban commune of Kankan, socio-political actors comment differently on the dissolution of the municipal councils. If some criticize the record of the outgoing mayor which they consider negative, others say they are concerned about the composition of the future special delegation, reports our correspondent in Kankan.

From now on, the day-to-day affairs of the various municipalities are managed by the general secretaries, after the dissolution of the municipal councils by a presidential decree. For Lancinet Condé, advisor to Kankan town hall, their departure was only a matter of day: “The mandate of the municipal council is over and also since the CNRD took power on September 5, 2021, they have dissolved all the institutions of the republic including the municipalities, but we left it to the municipalities to evolve and this allowed us to finish our mandate. »

Installed in 2019 after several internal squabbles within the RPG, the results of Mory Kolofon Diakité and his team raise debate. According to Sekou Kaissa Cissé, a young civil society activist, their passage was rather positive: “The results of Mory Kolofon are positive because the urban commune of Kankan has already benefited from a certain number of infrastructures which were carried out at through the town hall headed by Mayor Mory Kolofon Diakité and his team, I think that in terms of achievements, he has proven himself. »

For his part, Kalil Kouyaté of the regional council of civil society organizations criticizes the record of the outgoing mayor: “You see the state of the city, I cannot say that the record of Mayor Kolofon is positive, we live in Kankan here but I don’t see anything in Kolofon’s balance sheet. »

The question of the succession of the dissolved team is attracting the attention of political actors. Mohamed Mansaré, vice regional coordinator of the MPDG in Kankan, gives his point of view: “Logically, people must expect from the CNRD choices devoid of any partiality, that means that those who will henceforth be called upon to manage municipal executive positions, these people must have a certain moral probity and a deliberate and disinterested love for the localities at the head of which they will be placed. »

It should be noted that the dissolution decree specifies that the special delegations will not be candidates in the next municipal elections.
