The profile of the CAC 40 should evolve in the coming days. Like every quarter, the Scientific Council for Euronext indices (CAC 40, SBF 120, CAC Next 20, etc.) will look this Thursday, December 7, at the composition of the flagship index of the Paris market. This assembly of hand-picked experts decides on entries and exits within the CAC 40 and other indices. It is independent of the stock exchange operator Euronext.

Two stocks, Worldline and Alstom, whose prices have fallen significantly in recent months, are in the hot seat and likely to leave the Parisian index. Worldline, the French electronic payments giant, is only valued at 4.37 billion euros and comes in 66th position on the Paris stock market by market capitalization.
