It was with great sorrow that the news of the death of Mrs. Hannah Fredil Boimelgrin, a Holocaust survivor and mother of a large Chabad family and at the age of 97, was received.
Her father, R. Yeshaya Shlomo Altman, was known for his wisdom and many turned to him for advice. She was a student of Sara Schnirer, the founder of Beit Yaakov in Lodz.
After the Holocaust, she was active in aid organizations searching for and rescuing Jewish children who were hidden in non-Jewish homes during the war.
The deceased left behind her sons Yavdala – R. Levi Yitzchak Boimelgrin, R. Shaya Boimelgrin – Crown Heights and Mrs. Rachel Hitrik – Crown Heights.
And let there be a desire that immediately the fulfillment of the designation “Wake up and rejoice dwellers of dust,” and be within them.
