Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan has posted on his Twitter account that Malik Atan was the only one who fought to save Priyantha Kumar Diyawatana from being brutally attacked by religious fundamentalists.
Malik Adan’s humanitarian act has brought honor to the whole of Pakistan.
He also mentioned that the highest award ‘Tamha I Sujat’ will be given in appreciation of the humanitarian act of the person concerned.
On behalf of the nation I want to salute moral courage & bravery of Malik Adnan who tried his utmost to shelter & save Priyantha Diyawadana from the vigilante mob in Sialkot incl endangering his own life by physically trying to shield victim. We will award him Tamgha i Shujaat
