Research
In this case, experts from the South Ural State University in Russia were studying the particles of this meteorite. In this, the researchers confirmed that this meteorite contains very small carbon crystals. And the researchers say they’ve never seen anything like this in any meteorite discovered so far.
Speaking about this, the researchers said, “We have investigated whether there are carbon crystals in this meteorite. We have found the presence of carbon crystals in this study conducted through an optical telescope. Through chemical and X-ray studies, it has also been revealed that there are graphite crystals in the center.”
Researchers’ discovery of carbon crystals in the superbolite, the largest meteorite to hit Earth in the 21st century, is seen as a major achievement in space exploration.
