The CSE-30 index is compiled based on performance review of companies listed on the Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE). 10 new companies have been added and 10 previous companies have been dropped. It will be effective from March 21.

This information was informed in a circular sent from CSE on Tuesday (March 12).

The newly added companies are Amra Networks Limited, BRAC Bank Plc, Eastern Bank Plc, Fareast Knitting and Dyeing Industries Limited, Green Delta Insurance Company Limited, IDLC Finance Plc, Navana CNG Limited, Popular Life Insurance Company Limited, Prime Bank Plc and Summit. Power Limited.

On the other hand, the companies that have dropped are Apex Foods Limited, Asia Insurance Limited, Bangladesh National Insurance Company Limited, Beximco Limited, British American Tobacco Bangladesh Company Limited, Global Islami Bank Plc, GPH Ispat Limited, Islami Bank Bangladesh Plc, National Housing Finance and Investment. Ltd. and Union Bank Plc.

According to the CSE, the companies included in the CSE-30 index account for about 20.78 percent of the total listed companies’ market capitalization and about 29.12 percent of the free-float market capitalization of all listed companies including the free-float market capitalization.
