The specialist takes the place of Bojan Stamatovič. The Serb was offered to stay. However, he has shown loyalty to Nestor el Maestro and has chosen to leave. Belchev’s staff also includes assistant Anatoli Nankov, goalkeeper coach Stoyan Kolev and analyst Hristiyan Hristov.
“The real goal is the cup. CSKA always strives for the highest. We want to win the Bulgarian Cup and play in the Europa League”, Belchev said at his press conference during his official presentation as coach of the “armies”.
The specialist from Haskovo will be the coach of the first team of the “reds” for the 3rd time. He received a call from CSKA bosses on Sunday. And immediately accepts.
“There will be no major changes at this stage. I will make changes based on my vision,” the specialist added.
Tomorrow, CSKA will play the first 1/2-final match for the Bulgarian Cup. The opponent is “Botev” (South). The match is at the “Vasil Levski” stadium at 7:00 p.m. Just a few weeks ago, the “Reds” defeated the opponent 4:0, but in a match of the so-called born elite.
“The results will decide my contract. Good ones increase the chance, bad ones decrease it. If there are results and good games, the management will decide whether I will continue to work or not”, said Belchev and pointed out that the team has a huge lack of players who can play on the flank.
At the same time, the dismantling of the “Bulgarian Army” stadium is in full swing. On Tuesday, a part of the administrative building was demolished to prepare the ground for the entry of specialized equipment, which will demolish the visor of sector “A”.
