“Reds” with victories only over “Heber” and “Phratria”
The game crisis in CSKA does not affect only the first level in the club – the men’s team, but all three in which there are teams.
At the moment, out of three teams – in the First League, the Second League and the Southwest “B” group, only two victories have been achieved. They came against “Heber” in the elite and against the newcomer “Phratria” in the second level.
Thus, the composition of Tomislav Stipić occupies a modest 11th place in the ranking, having scored only 3 goals in 4 matches, while at the same time conceding 6. The defense did not keep a clean sheet in any match, and in the last championship the team was no. 1 in Bulgaria according to this indicator.
The three goals were the work of Stanislav Shopov, Marcelino Careaso and Georgi Chorbadzhiyski, and all of them fell in the victory over “Hebar”, which has won 1 point since the beginning of the championship. Or in other words, in their remaining three matches – against “Ludogorets”, “Spartak” (Varna) and “Slavia”, the “reds” did not hit the goal once.
So the start is one win and three losses, which has not happened in 40 years.
The second team of CSKA, which is led by Vladimir Manchev, is currently in the unenviable penultimate place in the standings together with “Lokomotiv” (Gorna Oryahovitsa), and behind it is only the duplicating team of FC CSKA 1948, which has no success and won a point since the beginning of the season. And CSKA II has 1 win in 5 matches, which is against Phratria, the new Varna project that debuted in professional football.
The composition of Manchev, in which a bunch of players from the first team were sent such as Amos Yuga, Ivan Tasev, Mark-Emilio Papazov, Ioan Bornosuzov,
started with three
consecutive losses –
with 0:1 from “Lovech” at home, 0:4 from “Dobrudzha” away and 1:2 from “Sportist” (Svoge) again in Sofia. Until that moment, the only hit was by Papazov in the match against “Sportist”. The series was interrupted with the success over “Phratria” with 2:0 after Bornosuzov scored from a penalty and Ivan Tasev, who was recruited from “Pirin”. And in the last round of the championship, a loss was recorded at home with 0:1 against “Pirin” (Blagoevgrad).
Because of the second team of CSKA and that of “Botev” Plovdiv, BFS expanded the Second League to a record 20 teams. At least judging by the results so far, no option can be found in Vladimir Manchev’s team to revive the play of the first team. Apparently, the level is completely different, even though it is played in the Second League.
The only good news in the team is that one of CSKA’s great talents, Iliyan Antonov, has started individual training. The youngster has battled an insidious illness which is in remission and doctors have cleared him to start light exercise, but his first return to the pitch is still some time away. Antonov also received quite serious support from the former captain of CSKA and the national team, Stiliyan Petrov, who himself overcame leukemia and was even about to return to the field with the Aston Villa team.
This is how we get to the third team, which is in the strongest division of the third level in football – the Southwest “B” group.
And here, CSKA is in 15th place out of 19 teams, after having two draws in four matches. In the first round, the team drew 1:1 at home with “Pirin” (Gotse Delchev), then was beaten 0:3 by “Vihren” in Sandanski, and lost to “Bansko” 0:1 at home in the last round as well ended 1:1 as a guest of “Slivniški hero”.
The only hits in these matches were by Valentin Varbanov against “Pirin” and by Bozhidar Petrov against “Slivniški Hero”.
And the third team
like the first one
none recorded
dry net
since the beginning of the championship, and at the expense of this misses in every one.
Thus, at the moment, the only ones worse than him are the third team of FC CSKA 1948 and the second team of “Pirin” (Blagoevgrad), which are in the same group.
At the same time, the second teams of “Slavia” and “Septemvri” (Sofia) have 2 wins, a draw and a loss, and that of “Levski” – with two wins and two losses.
Thus, the problem in CSKA becomes systemic.
For the first time, the scheme of “Ludogorets” was copied with three teams in the first three levels of local football, but apparently this did not produce results. Residents of Razgrad are at the head of all the divisions in which they participate, without, however, affecting any new Bulgarian footballers in their composition. CSKA, however, need exactly that.
Considering the dismal results of the teams at the school last season, without one, the situation seems somewhat normal.
The only team to achieve anything was the Under-19s, who won the BFS Cup and are due to take part in the Youth Champions League this season. CSKA is directly involved in the second preliminary round of the competition, with the draw taking place in Nyon on September 3. The matches are to be played on 23 October and 6 November. However, this is the lineup that is competing in the Southwest “B” group.
