CSKA presented a unique jersey, which is in honor of the 130th anniversary of the first pitch of the Military Club. Materials are woven into it as threads, which were made from the reworking of the seats at the “Bulgarian Army” stadium.
The jersey is white, with red motifs and inscriptions in Glagolitic.
The club believes that such a team has not been created in Bulgaria. The performance was at the Central Military Club, the birthplace of the “Reds”.
On the eve of the 130th anniversary of the ground breaking of one of the most emblematic buildings in Sofia, we decided to dedicate a special team to the place where we were founded – the Military Club. With its Neo-Renaissance style, exquisite ornamentation and the impressive interior of the building, it became the inspiration for the creation of a shirt that will preserve this seminal part of CSKA’s history. It was there in 1948 that our club was founded.
The design of the special jersey recreates the authentic exquisite mosaic from the Military Club, preserved to this day in some of the halls and corridors of the building.
On the back of the shirt in golden letters is written the cherished “SOLDIERS” - uniting all supporters of CSKA, proudly bearing the name of the fearless Bulgarian army. In the lower part of the shirt, the four Glagolitic letters “CSKA” are embroidered, and a special detail on the inside is the memorial historical dates and accompanying baroque ornaments painted on the ceiling of the concert hall.
The jersey is limited, with only 1,948 pieces on sale. Each of them comes in a special box and has the corresponding number. The T-shirt is available in our official fan shop as well as online, CSKA wrote.
The price of the shirt is BGN 194.80.
Aleksandar Tomas took his players to the reconstruction of the stadium today to get to know what is happening in Borisova gradina.
At the moment, the contractor “Glavbolgarstroy” is progressing at an incredible pace with the rough construction of the stadium, and the production of the reinforced concrete elements is also expected to start.
The administrator Stoyko Sakaliev immediately released photos of the visit on social networks and expressed hope that the team will soon be supported from the new stands.
