In the Buinaksky district of Dagestan, the counter-terrorist operation (CTO) regime has been lifted. The regime was introduced in the morning of September 10 in some areas of the district. During the skirmish, two militants were killed there.
“The head of the FSB of Russia for the Republic of Dagestan, the head of the operational headquarters in the republic, made a decision to lift the counter-terrorist operation from 17:45 in certain areas in the Buinaksk region of the republic,” a representative of the operational headquarters in the republic told TASS.
After the liquidation of two militants in the Buinaksky district of Dagestan, employees of the republican department of the Investigative Committee of Russia opened a criminal case on the fact of encroachment on the life of law enforcement officers.
According to the investigation, on September 10, when conducting operational-search measures in the forest of the Buinaksky region, two armed persons were found. They refused to surrender and were killed in the exchange of fire. There were no casualties or losses among the local population and law enforcement officers. During the inspection of the scene, a large amount of ammunition and weapons were found.
