Residents gathered at the Cuauhtémoc City Hall esplanade to express their support for the former candidate for the district, Caty Monreal, whom they said they will accompany throughout the entire process before the Courts to annul the election due to alleged irregularities in the recent electoral process.

The group of residents from the 33 Cuauhtémoc neighborhoods reiterated their support for the Morena candidate through shouts and banners with the messages: “You are not alone” and “vote by vote, polling station by polling station.”

For his part, Monreal respectfully asked the electoral and judicial authorities not to be intimidated by the PRI and PAN, the networks of corruption and the arrogance of the elected mayor of Cuauhtémoc, Alessandra Rojo de la Vega.

“From here I ask you not to hesitate to dispense justice and do something historic like giving certainty in a new election for the Cuauhtémoc mayor’s office,” said Monreal to motivate people to go for the annulment of the election and request that the electoral process be repeated in said demarcation.

The Morena member also described Rojo de la Vega as a violent, aggressive and false feminist woman, and reiterated that they will remain vigilant and in the fight.

“It is clear that the fraud was carried out from several angles; it is clear that the election for the Cuauhtémoc mayor’s office was unfair, violent and full of irregularities, which is why we are asking for it to be annulled,” Monreal emphasized.
