Cuban activist Yankiel Fernández expressed his gratitude on social media for all that he received in a personal donation of 220 pounds sent to the island from abroad, which is intended for Cuban children in vulnerable situations.

In the post showing the number of packages he received, Fernández mentioned Mayda Ladicani from the Antilles for the support she provided with the things she would deliver.

“Thank you for this shipment of more than 220 pounds. Thank you for your time and for not getting tired of helping. Thank you for being attentive and for the time you dedicate to making sure everything arrives classified. Simply, thank you for being an Angel in the lives of many. Thanks to you and the people who help, we are infinitely grateful,” added Fernandez.

This donation was immediately distributed among people on the island in a vulnerable situation.

In another post, the activist explained in detail that the distribution was done through the “Breath of Life” project, which continues to raise funds from the United States.

“The donations are intended for our project where we provide lunch to 35 elderly people weekly, who are helped with food, hygiene, clothing, medicines and other needs. 12 children with cerebral palsy. Five bedridden elderly people who are helped with disposable diapers and hygiene monthly. We have a project to help vulnerable families, who are helped with food, hygiene and other needs. We also have a dispensary project where we help many people in need with medicines,” she added.

These types of donations are very necessary on the island, due to the critical economic and social situation, which leaves hundreds of families in precarious conditions.
