A Cuban who went out to demonstrate peacefully in the city of Contramaestre, in the province of Santiago de Cuba, in the midst of the total blackout that hit the island in recent days, was detained by the Castro police.
This was evidenced in a video published on social networks showing the moment in which the agents of the dictatorship grabbed the woman to put her in the patrol car.
The Cuban woman, despite the repression, shouted Patria y Vida demanding her rights violated by the communist regime that subjects the people to hunger and misery.
“Homeland and Life, water and food”the woman is heard saying as several Castro police officers take her to the patrol car.
Meanwhile, the Cuban who recorded the video denounced the cruel repression of which citizens on the island are victims.
“Look, sir, what these people are doing, sir, look, they are starving us and look how they have it,” stated the man who recorded the video.
Likewise, in the audiovisual material, other witnesses to the event were outraged by the mistreatment that the Cuban woman detained in Contramaestre was receiving.
“Look at the mistreatment, gentleman, and they can’t handle her, there are several of them and they can’t handle her.”is heard saying in the video.
These situations once again show how the Castro dictatorship represses anyone who dares to raise their voice for change within the island.
Recently, a man was also arrested by the Castro police in Camajuaní for protesting in the middle of a blackout, urging his neighbors to demonstrate against the dictatorship that subjects them to spending long days without electricity.
