A condominium community in Miami was disturbed by a series of vehicle thefts committed by an individual of Cuban origin.
According to local reports, these crimes occurred in the residential complex located on 138th Avenue in the southwest of the region, specifically in the area of 9600.
The incidents, which lasted from July 5 to July 9, culminated in the arrest of Yasláan Cordero-Teste, 24, who appeared before the Miami-Dade County Criminal Court on Friday.
It was reported that Cordero-Teste’s arrest took place one day after the reported crimes, after the same neighbors reported what happened to the Miami police.
“I got up in the morning and was going to do my volunteer work. And when I left my house and went to the car, I realized that it was half open, not how I had left it. Inside I saw that it was completely ransacked, but nothing had actually been stolen, except for the medical bag that I use for my volunteer work.”commented one of those affected.
The theft of valuables, including a medical bag worth around $100, was a shock to the community, although some items were quickly replaced by the affected institutions.
Investigations later led to the Cuban, whose residence is registered in Kissimmee, so residents of the affected area had never seen him before.

Video evidence obtained from the condominium’s security cameras was crucial to identifying the subject.
According to the arrest warrant, in addition to stealing a medical bag, the detainee allegedly stole designer glasses, wallets and cell phone chargers from other cars.
Meanwhile, the judge, when charging Cordero-Teste, set bail for each of the crimes and imposed an order prohibiting him from approaching the scene of the robbery.
