Arianna Hernández, a young Cuban mother who was diagnosed in a coma after suffering serious health complications, has shown signs of an almost miraculous recovery.

It is important to mention that the woman has been admitted to the Melech Hospice House in Temple Terrace, Florida, since March 28, and Arianna’s situation seemed hopeless when, on April 3, the devices that helped her breathe were disconnected, before the gloomy medical prognosis.

Affectionately known to her loved ones as “La China,” Arianna has not only defied expectations by starting to speak again, but she has also demonstrated her strength and will to live by interacting with her surroundings and expressing gratitude, especially toward her son.

In that sense, in a moving statement captured on video, Arianna addressed her son directly with words of gratitude.

“My son, who always supported me in everything and who was here through everything strong and never gave up. Thank you. He has always been my driving force”, said the Cuban mother.

On the other hand, it should be noted that Arianna Hernández’s case deeply moved the community both inside and outside of Tampa, inspiring hundreds of people to contribute to a fundraising campaign on GoFundMe.

Meanwhile, this Cuban mother must continue fighting to advance even further in her recovery.
